The prototype of the electric car came to life thanks to the efforts of AZULIK Mobility and Roth Fablab. The former focuses on implementing innovative technologies at AZULIK eco-resorts, while the latter, whose creative space is located right in the Mexican jungle, develops mechanisms and devices on the edge of fantasy.
That’s exactly what AZULIK Mobility created: an electric car. And although it only travels at low speeds (minimum 40 km/h), it has plenty of exciting features.
As for speed, it’s dictated by the car’s purpose. The vehicle will move between bungalows: like a golf cart, it can be used to transport guests from one place in the resort to another. It can also serve as internal transport on private properties.

What else is interesting about this little car?
The doorless electric vehicle is equipped with a 2,200 W motor. Charging takes eight to ten hours. Designboom reported that it can travel up to 100 kilometers on a single charge.
From the start, designers wanted the car to be open. They used fiberglass for the body, sapote wood (a tropical fruit wood) for the steering wheel, and ceramics and acrylic for the interior trim. The result is a graceful design that looks inspired by nature. For example, the wooden steering wheel mimics a spider web.
Inside the car, three people can ride at the same time: the driver and two passengers who can stretch their legs freely. Between the passengers is a table covered with waterproof fabric; the curved seats are covered in the same material.

The cabin also features a rearview camera display and a digital tachometer — a device that measures the rotation speed of the motor.
Specialists in digital, computational, and design processes worked on the production. They built the electric car shoulder to shoulder with experienced local craftsmen.
So far, this car exists as a one-of-a-kind model. However, the developers see a meaningful, experience-rich future for the model.
