Beef Stewed in Cider

Beef Stew with Cider

  • Beef: 600 g (approx. 1.3 lbs)
  • Cider: 300 ml (approx. 1.3 cups)
  • Celery: 1 stalk
  • Carrot: 1
  • Onion: 1
  • Cinnamon: 1 stick
  • Tomatoes: 3
  • Salt and spices to taste

Cut the beef into cubes and place it in a sauté pan or a heavy-bottomed pot. Sear the meat in oil until the juices evaporate. Add the chopped onion, carrot, and celery stalk to the meat. Sauté for 10 minutes.

Dice the tomatoes and add them to the other ingredients, then simmer for another 10 minutes. Pour in the cider and bake in the oven at 200 °C (about 400 °F) for 2 hours.
