Creating Seedling Cups for Your Garden
I’m making boxes to hold cups that measure 35×52 cm. Each box can fit 54 cups. I craft them from sheets of film that are 13×26 cm; I wrap the sheet around a mold at least 1.5 times. The mold I use is a bottle with a diameter of 5.5 cm. I fold the excess film at the bottom. I fill the cups with soil, leaving about 1 cm of space from the top, and then place them in the box. Before transplanting the seedlings into the ground, I water the plants. Then, I hold the cup in my left hand while I remove the strip with my right hand, and I plant the “chair”—the soil clump with the seedling—into the prepared hole.
Right now, the gardener is busy making the cups and preparing nutrient-rich soil. And, of course, gathering seeds.
