- Sour cream: 2 tablespoons (a thicker, tangier version of sour cream common in Eastern European cuisine)
- Butter: 1 tablespoon
- Pork: 1.1 lbs (0.5 kg)
- Mushrooms: 10.6 oz (300 g)
- Onion: 1
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Peel the potatoes and boil them until tender. Add the butter and sour cream, then mash into a smooth puree.
Peel the onion, slice the mushrooms, dice the onion, and cut the meat into small pieces. In a skillet with heated vegetable oil, sauté the mushrooms, onion, and meat until cooked through.
In a baking dish, layer the potato puree, then top with the sautéed mixture. Season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices to taste.
Bake the dish in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes.
