Potato Zrazy with Mushrooms and Cheese

Ingredients:
– Mushrooms: 300 g (about 10.5 oz)
– Hard cheese: 100 g (about 3.5 oz)
– Potatoes: 6-7 pieces
– Onion: 1
– Egg: 1
– Milk: 50 g (about 1.7 oz)
– Butter: 50 g (about 1.7 oz)
– Salt and black pepper to taste
– Oil for frying
– Green onions
– 1 boiled beet for garnish

Instructions:
1. Peel, wash, and boil the potatoes in salted water until tender.
2. Peel, wash, and finely chop the onion. Sauté it in a heated skillet with oil until golden brown.
3. Wash the mushrooms, chop them finely, and add them to the onions. Cook until the mushrooms are soft.
4. Grate the cheese using a coarse grater. Mash the boiled potatoes into a puree. Add the egg, milk, butter, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix the puree thoroughly.
5. Form small patties from the potato mixture, placing cheese on top, followed by the mushroom and onion mixture, and then a bit more cheese.
6. Carefully seal the edges, shaping them into balls with the filling, and slightly flatten them.
7. Fry the patties in a well-heated skillet with oil until golden brown on all sides.
8. Transfer to a plate and garnish with green onions and beet slices.
9. Serve with sour cream, various sauces, and salads.
