Poppy Seed Cookies

Start by soaking the poppy seeds, then drain the water. Grind them or pass them through a meat grinder twice. Add sugar, honey, and chopped nuts, then pour in the milk and mix in crushed pieces of hard, slightly sweet cookies. Transfer the mixture to a ceramic bowl and top it off with cherry jam. Serve with a wooden spoon.

**Ingredients:**
– 500g of cookies (approx. 1.1 lbs)
– 1 cup of poppy seeds
– 100g of sugar (approx. ½ cup)
– 1 tablespoon of honey
– 100g of chopped nuts (approx. 1 cup)
– 0.5 liters of boiled milk or cream (approx. 2 cups)
