Canned Tomatoes with Carrot Leaves

Ingredients:

  • Carrot tops
  • Tomatoes

Brine for 5 liters (about 1.3 gallons) of water:

  • 20 tablespoons of sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of salt
  • 350g (about 1.5 cups) of vinegar

Place 4-5 carrot tops at the bottom of a jar, fill it with tomatoes, pour boiling water over them, cover with a lid, and let sit for 15 minutes.

Prepare the brine: Pour out the water from the jars, fill them with the hot brine, seal them up, and wrap them to keep warm.
