A NOTE FOR THE HOSTESS

Dried soap lasts three times longer than fresh soap.
New wooden clothespins should be boiled in water to prevent them from leaving stains on your laundry.
When the frost sets in, items hung out on the balcony or in the yard can freeze to the clothespins and the line. To avoid this, wipe the line with warm salty water and wash the clothespins in the same solution.
Woolen items often lose their shape when drying. To prevent this, thread a rope through the sleeves and secure it with clothespins.
You’ve purchased new barrels for pickling vegetables. To remove the tannins in the wood that can emit unpleasant odors from certain foods (like cabbage or cucumbers), soak the new barrels for 2-3 weeks.
Wooden dishes and utensils can be refreshed by wiping them with hydrogen peroxide and rinsing with hot water.
Periodically, wipe the surfaces of wooden cutting boards used for fish, meat, and vegetables with sandpaper, then rinse thoroughly to prevent small food particles from getting trapped in the cracks.
To remove stains from parquet flooring, I use hydrogen peroxide mixed with a few drops of ammonia. I wipe the floor with this mixture and then leave a cloth soaked in the solution on the stain. The same can be done with warm vinegar essence. Of course, a light spot will form around it, which can also be covered with floor wax.
Meat grinder blades dull quickly. Try this: after grinding meat or potatoes, run small pieces of soap through the grinder, and only then wash it with hot water.
