Once, the Peruvian singer Yma Sumac performed a duet with herself on the radio. This remarkable feat was made possible by the magic of radio technology.
Two recordings of the singer were made on separate tape reels, and then one recording was layered over the other. When the combined tape was played through the tape recorder, an unprecedented duet emerged, performed by a single person!
