Conversation Between Sasha and Alexey (3 years 11 months) at the Dacha
Sasha: Aloshka, I love you!
Alexey: And I don’t love you!
Sasha: But I still love you!
Alexey: Sasha, don’t touch me!
Sasha: Wait! I’ll touch you just a little more and then I won’t anymore!
In the sandbox.
Sasha: I’m upset and I’m going to Kyiv!
Alexey: Go ahead and don’t come back!
Sasha: Then I won’t go!
Sasha runs after Alexey with a toy gun in her hand. She catches up and says:
Sasha: Aloshka, can I kill you?
At two years old, Sasha’s scariest antihero was Baba Yaga. She was terrified of her but loved the stories about her. She always listened with wide eyes. One time, we had a big fight, and I scolded her harshly, but she thought the punishment was unfair. She ran up to me with tears in her eyes and desperately said:
Sasha: Mom, you’re Baba Yaga!
Sasha found it hard to understand that her dad and I loved each other too. She was very jealous of us. One day, as she was going to bed, hugging me, she said:
Sasha: Mommy! I love you so much, and Dad… loves me!
Ivan is hugging me. Sasha runs up and shouts:
Sasha: Dad! Don’t touch Mom! She’s only my mom!
Ivan: Yes, she’s your mom and my wife.
Sasha: No! She’s only my wife-mom!
We’re holding Sasha’s hands while walking. Sasha sees a bulletin board, runs away from us, and says with a serious look:
Sasha: I’m going to read what’s for sale and I’ll be right back!
