Ingredients:
- Ground fish (fish mince) — 500–700 g (about 1.1–1.5 lbs)
- Potatoes — 5–7
- Eggs — 3 whole eggs + 1 yolk
- Onions — 2, chopped
- Flour — 2 tablespoons
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Dill and lettuce leaves for serving
Instructions:
- Season the fish mince with salt and pepper. Add one egg and the chopped onions to the fish mince and mix until combined.
- Boil the potatoes until tender. Let them cool, then mash the potatoes with a potato masher. Add the flour, two eggs, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Grease your hands with vegetable oil. Shape the potato mixture into small cups to hold the meatballs.
- Place the formed balls of fish mince on top of the potato cups.
- Lightly brush the potato cups with the beaten egg yolk.
- Bake the assembled meatballs and potato cups in the oven until golden brown.
- Serve the meatballs on lettuce leaves and garnish with chopped dill.
