Biofilic Valley: A monumental eco-technology district is set to rise in Dubai.

The architectural firm URB (UAE) is set to build the world’s largest urban technology district, the Urban Tech District, in Dubai, featuring zero carbon emissions.

This ambitious project aims to create a grand technological hub for urban innovation in the Al Jaddaf area. The complex will boast an incredibly picturesque yet futuristic design, covering an area of 140,000 square meters.

The Urban Tech District is expected to generate 4,000 jobs in the fields of eco-technology, education, and training. A multitude of “green” programs and practices will be developed here, as reported by Designboom. This monumental technology park will further solidify Dubai’s position as one of the leading urban centers on the planet, where progressive innovations are developed with remarkable efficiency.

The eco-friendly buildings will seem as if they’ve been transported from a sci-fi movie. The design of commercial and educational spaces, according to the architects’ vision, will be biophilic, making those who occupy them feel as if they are immersed in nature. Expansive green areas will serve as the lungs for offices, conference rooms, classrooms, research laboratories, and business centers.

Importantly, the technology district will offset all carbon emissions from construction and operation. The architects have ensured that the activities of the world’s largest technology center will be entirely based on ecological innovations. This principle will extend to the organization of a carbon-neutral urban environment and the use of renewable energy sources, including the establishment of massive solar farms.

The architects have stated that the district will provide investment opportunities for innovators tackling critical issues related to the creation of eco-cities. Additionally, the Urban Tech District will serve as a platform for a new generation of rapidly growing advanced companies. An Urban Technology Institute will also operate here, where a new generation of scientists will implement the boldest innovations based on applied research, particularly those addressing climate change.

URB’s CEO, Baharash Bagherian, believes that Dubai is currently in an optimal position to lead the way in implementing cutting-edge urban technologies. The Urban Tech District is poised to become a global hub for this initiative.

The head of the architectural firm reminded us that eco-friendly technologies are the foundation of all future cities. The market for urban innovations is currently valued at $158 billion, and it is expected to grow rapidly over the next decade.
