Braised Beef with Prunes

Beef stew with prunes

Cut the meat into pieces. Season the meat with salt and pepper, then sauté it. Add the fried onions and tomato paste, pour in the broth, and braise the meat for nearly an hour. After that, add the rinsed prunes and continue braising for another 20 minutes. Add a bay leaf at the end.

Ingredients: 1.2 kg (about 2.6 lbs) of beef, 100 g (about 3.5 oz) of fat, 200 g (about 7 oz) of onions, 150 g (about 5.3 oz) of tomato paste, and 300 g (about 10.6 oz) of prunes.
