Creamy Pumpkin Porridge

Pumpkin porridge

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin flesh: 500 g (about 1.1 lbs)
  • Milk: 0.5 liters (about 2 cups)
  • Water: 1 cup
  • Sugar: 2 tablespoons
  • Vanilla sugar: 1 packet
  • Cinnamon: ½ teaspoon
  • Butter, to taste
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the pumpkin flesh into small cubes, pour in the water, and bring to a boil.
  2. After 15 minutes, add the milk, a bit of salt, and both the regular and vanilla sugar.
  3. Gently mash the pumpkin with a potato masher right in the pot.
  4. Cook for another 20–25 minutes until the pumpkin is fully cooked and tender.
  5. Add butter and sprinkle with cinnamon, then stir to combine.
