Now, every user can create their own emojis to express their personal state and emotions. The possibilities are nearly endless—from angry devil faces to strawberry sloths.
You Can Never Have Too Many Emojis
Friendly smileys have long been a staple of our daily communications. However, despite having over 3,600 emojis to choose from, there are often times when you simply can’t find the right character.
But now, that’s no longer a problem, as Google has launched a new tool that allows you to create your own custom images to express emotions. With this innovation, you can create any emoji—from a basketball avocado to a strawberry sloth.
How to Create Your Own Emoji Mashups
As noted by the Daily Mail, to create your own hybrid emoji, simply open Google Search on your computer and type in “emoji kitchen.” At the top of the search results, you’ll see a row of bold emojis with a blue button inviting you to “Cook.” Click on it, and the emoji creation tool will appear.
To create your own compositions, click on the emoji in the upper left corner of the screen before selecting the first emoji you want to use in your hybrid. Once you’ve made your selection, click on the emoji in the center at the top of the screen before choosing another to continue building. Then, a combination of emojis will appear in the upper right corner of the screen.
Google has also included a “Randomize” option for users who might be struggling to find inspiration. To showcase your creation, click on the emoji and copy it to your device’s clipboard. You can then paste it as a sticker in messages to impress your friends.
Journalists at the Daily Mail tested Google’s tool and came up with five quirky combinations, including an angry devil, a strawberry sloth, a fantastic alien, an avocado with a basketball for a pit, and a cheesy tiger.
Most Popular Emojis
The launch of this new tool came shortly after experts from musicMagpie released a list of the top 10 emojis. The results showed that the most popular emoji was the “two hearts” icon, with 45% of respondents claiming that this emoji evokes feelings of warmth.
Other popular emojis in the top ten included several heart-themed emojis: the “heart-shaped suit,” “red heart,” and “smiling face with hearts.” The list also featured the “kissing face,” “winking face,” and “smiling face with open mouth and tightly closed eyes.” Rounding out the list were emojis like “person with folded hands,” “fire,” and “rolling eyes.”
