This morning, we were getting ready: Sasha for preschool, and us for work. She was the first to get dressed and stood waiting by the door. I was throwing on my jacket and making a few last-minute adjustments to my hair when I heard her say in a completely casual, grown-up tone:
– By the way, Mommy! You look really great today!
I couldn’t help but smile widely and realized why I had always dreamed of having a daughter…. 😀
