The Motocompacto electric scooter resembles the design of scooters from the early 80s. The popular brand is reviving it as a sleek modern vehicle that, when folded, resembles a piece of hand luggage or a suitcase.
This tourist-sized electric scooter is perfect for city trips. The battery and charger are built into the aluminum frame, and the handlebars swivel sideways and then lower down to fit into the compartment. The seat and wheels also fold inward each time the rider finishes their journey. This compact scooter is also equipped with a handle, making it easy to carry in its folded form, like a suitcase.
The Honda Motocompacto is equipped with a comfortable seat, reliable grip footrests, a built-in luggage rack, a digital speedometer, and a charge indicator. A mobile app, which will be available soon, will allow riders to adjust personal settings via Bluetooth, including lighting and riding modes. Thanks to its compact design, which fits the size of a standard car trunk, the scooter can even be used in tight spaces.
The project manager and engineering design division head of Honda Development and Manufacturing of America, Nick Ziraldo, notes to the publication. Designboom The Motocompacto electric scooter was designed with safety, durability, and reliability in mind. According to Mr. Ziraldo, the scooter features a sturdy frame and wheels made of heat-treated aluminum, bright LED headlights and taillights, side reflectors, as well as a welded steel loop on the footrest that is compatible with most bike locks.

The Honda Motocompacto electric scooter reduces carbon emissions while providing the driver with appropriate vehicle performance. In fact, it can reach a maximum speed of 24 km/h and has a zero-emission range of up to 19 km. Although fast charging may not be available for this model, the Motocompacto electric scooter can be fully charged in just 3.5 hours from a standard 110V outlet.
At least its standard compact charger is portable. To add a touch of fun, the Honda electric scooter can be personalized with stickers, decals, and more, allowing the vehicle to reflect the style and individuality of its owners. It is known that the starting price of the compact Motocompacto electric scooter is $995, and it can be ordered from Honda and Acura car dealers starting November 2023.
