Homemade Snack: Recipe for Fruit and Berry Granola

If your kids aren’t fans of oatmeal, trick them by serving the same dish in a different form. Granola features rolled oats baked to a crispy perfection with honey, almonds, berries, and fruits. All the components of this nutritious snack provide a long-lasting energy boost, increase hemoglobin levels, and strengthen the immune system. This food is beneficial for both the brain and the heart.

Ingredients: 1 cup rolled oats, 1 cup plain yogurt, 1 cup blueberries, 1 peach, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon chopped almonds.

Mix the rolled oats with the chopped almonds, then drizzle with honey and olive oil. Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet and place it in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C). After 20 minutes, the granola base will be ready.

Cut the peach into pieces and mix them with the yogurt. Spoon 2 tablespoons of this delicious mixture into a dessert dish, then top with 2 tablespoons of granola, followed by 2 tablespoons of blueberries. Repeat the layers in the same order.

Garnish each serving with a slice of peach and whole blueberries. You can also drizzle some honey over the snack. Chill the filled dessert dishes in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before serving this healthy breakfast.

Life Hack

To achieve a crumbly texture for the granola, periodically stir the oat mixture while it bakes.
