CHRIST IS RISEN!

Celebrating a Bright Holiday

How I love this bright holiday! It’s right up there with Christmas, I’d say. Although… I’m afraid to say too much since I know so little about it that sometimes I feel like a clueless child on the Moon, trying to keep quiet and read more.

I went to the all-night vigil service with my sisters; I simply couldn’t stay home—how could I when all the joy and celebration were there, at the service? Everything feels so genuine, pure, and uplifting that it allows you to step away from the daily negativity and nourish your soul. Although many people find fault there, complaining about the priests and each other… I don’t know how or when it happened, but at some point in my life, I outgrew that mindset and began to see much deeper than the surface level of that negativity (there’s no denying it exists, but should we really be the judges of these people or anyone else?). My life philosophy, perhaps partly shaped by my Christian beliefs, is: let it rest on that person’s conscience, and I am responsible for myself.

True joy is unmistakable and irreplaceable. Wishing you all more of the real thing in life!
