Imagining the breeze: what will the most creative beach in the world be like?

Corniche Beach in the southwest of Abu Dhabi attracts vacationers with its pristine white sand, azure waters, and well-developed infrastructure. Soon, this 2.5-kilometer stretch of coastline will become even more popular.

All thanks to Winding Breeze. This is the name of a conceptual public space for relaxation and entertainment that will be built along the coast. The project is designed by the architectural studio 100architects from Shanghai, which has showcased a stunning visualization of the new development on its website.

This vibrant beach hub in the UAE capital resembles a work of art. Viewed from above, the wild shapes and colors of Winding Breeze are truly breathtaking. The area evokes an animated world filled with snails, serpents, and whimsical mushrooms, all nestled within exotic foliage.

Upon closer inspection, the eclectic structures reveal elevated pathways winding above the promenade, various amenities for a comfortable beach getaway, entertainment spots, sports and play areas, as well as restaurants and cafes.

At the central spiral ascent, isolated platforms are scattered with resting spots, shaded shopping, and dining areas. The designers of Winding Breeze have also made a thoughtful addition: a pedestrian connection between the coastline and the urban district.

This colorful space features a park and a beach bridge that offers panoramic views of the shore and the city. In the evening, visitors to Winding Breeze will be treated to a fantastic spectacle: the active recreation area will be illuminated with a sea of lights. This new trendy center for tourists and locals alike promises to reconnect them with nature, according to Designboom.

According to the specialists at 100architects, the bold project aims to convey the unique sensation of the sea breeze caressing your skin as you arrive at such a special tourist destination. The architects envision spiral pathways formed by a series of “pocket spaces” for leisure and play, encouraging visitors to slow down and savor unforgettable experiences.

The architects hope that this creative space will become an architectural pride of the UAE and gain recognition among foreign visitors to the country.

By the way, Corniche Beach is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the UAE. It features exceptionally clean, shallow waters, velvety sand, and everything needed for a complete family vacation. The sun shines along the coast year-round. Corniche has been awarded the “Blue Flag,” an international accolade given to beaches and marinas that meet high-quality standards and are safe for swimming.
