What Is Beauty?
It’s interesting to ponder the question: what is beauty? It’s a tough one to answer because we are all different, perceiving and interpreting the world in our own unique ways. Moreover, society today is so influenced by trends that even this concept feels entirely imposed upon us.
For me, beauty transcends mere appearance; it embodies absolute simplicity and freedom from all the extra things we think we need to be beautiful. Sometimes you look at a person, and their simplicity captivates you more than their physical attributes. Yet, at some point, you find yourself gazing at them and realizing, almost in disbelief, just how beautiful they truly are!
Perhaps I’m not reinventing the wheel here—this has always been the case throughout history. We’ve simply forgotten how to see others in their own light, rather than through the lens of societal expectations and norms. Lately, I’ve come to realize more and more that the more significant a person is, the simpler they tend to be. They are easier to connect with, free from the need to show off or present themselves as something greater than they are.
And finally, I once read a saying: “A person is beautiful if they are interesting.” I wholeheartedly agree with that—two hundred percent!
