Light masterpieces for the wealthy: opulent chandeliers by Hans Van Bentem.

Danish artist Hans Van Bentem creates chandeliers in unusual shapes, such as skulls, violins, or globes.

His clients include many celebrities; for instance, one of the rooms in singer Madonna’s sprawling mansion features a luxurious chandelier shaped like a revolver, crafted by Van Bentem. The smallest of his pieces costs around $24,000, while larger masterpieces can fetch hundreds of thousands.

“I draw inspiration for my work from literally everywhere – culture, everyday life, news, history, and all the beauty and ugliness in this life. A chandelier showcases wealth and classic values. I transform light fixtures into symbols of power, violence, or fear. I play with their beautiful side while making them contemporary and significant,” the artist explains.

Each chandelier is handcrafted by skilled crystal artisans from the Czech Republic. What do you think of these creations?
