1 orange
44 coffee beans
44 teaspoons of sugar
1 bottle of vodka (0.5 liters)
Choose a small orange (one that fits into a one-liter jar) and wash it thoroughly. Using a knife, carefully pierce the orange’s skin down to the flesh and insert a coffee bean into each hole. Work over a plate, since juice will escape from the orange. Place the stuffed orange in the jar, add the sugar, and pour in the vodka. Seal the jar with a nylon lid. Store the jar in a dark place for 44 days, stirring occasionally to help the sugar dissolve completely. Squeeze the juice from the orange. Once ready, pour the liqueur into a bottle. The liqueur has a bright orange flavor with a noticeable hint of coffee.
