Car enthusiasts have been waiting for the debut of this futuristic convertible since 2021, when the Japanese automaker first unveiled the Nissan Max-Out concept in the form of a digital drawing.
And now, a convertible resembling an intergalactic vehicle has become the center of attention for guests at the prestigious auto show. The two-seater car embodies the company’s new vision for the future of electric vehicles.
The convertible is sincerely adorned with LED lighting: it is present both inside the cabin and outside. The wheels are decorated with lighting in the form of three-dimensional circles. The electric convertible reflects the surrounding landscapes with its glossy surface, which is extremely appealing. In the dark, it mysteriously glows and resembles a vehicle from a sci-fi movie.
The retro design of the Nissan Max-Out only enhances these vivid impressions. The hood and body of the new car feature an original aerodynamic shape. The transformer seats, reminiscent of spaceship chairs, can be flattened to the floor when needed, thus adding space to the interior, the publication reported. Designboom .
The new convertible once again proves that Nissan – a symbol of the Japanese automotive industry – is a proponent of functional yet unexpected design. According to the developers, the convertible takes on its unique shape thanks to its sharp lines and lighting elements.
The concept of the Nissan Max-Out convertible, with its low stance, was designed from the outset for high-speed movement and dynamic cornering. The responsive steering, balanced with limited body roll, creates a sense of unity between the driver, passengers, and the car.
The electric convertible operates on a solid-state battery that has a high energy density and charges quickly. Another convenience is the large information display, which is easily visible to both the driver and passengers. It is positioned behind a steering wheel that resembles a ship’s wheel.
It is currently unknown when the first Nissan Max-Out convertibles will be released, or if they will be released at all. In addition to this model, the company showcased two other new developments at the Shanghai Auto Show. There is no official information from Nissan regarding these vehicles yet.
However, the company announced its plan for the coming years: by 2030, they will create 23 concepts of new electric vehicles. Most of them will be fully electric.
