The Italian word “torta” means round bread or cake. The term “torte” refers to layers of cake soaked in cream or jam. However, you can achieve the same effect in a simpler way.
Ingredients: 300 g of cookies (plain crackers can work); 500 g of sour cream; 200 g of sugar; 2 bananas; 50 g of chocolate (optional, for decoration).
Start by mashing the bananas. Mix them with the sugar and sour cream, then mash everything into a smooth mixture. Add the crushed cookies to this cream and stir well.
Transfer the mixture into a mold lined with plastic wrap. The wrap should fit tightly against the mold; otherwise, the cake will leak. Make sure the edges of the wrap are long enough to cover the mixture on top.
Fold the edges of the wrap over the mixture and place the cake in the refrigerator overnight to set. In the morning, you can remove the cake from the mold by flipping it onto a flat plate and peeling off the wrap.
Before serving, sprinkle the top of the cake with grated chocolate.
Life Hack
In addition to grated chocolate, you can decorate the cake with cookie crumbs, cream, icing, nuts, or fruits.
