Oatmeal Cookies with Apples and “Cow” Cream

Oatmeal pastries with apples

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3.5 oz (100g) unsalted butter
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup grated apples
  • 2.8-3.5 oz (80-100g) “Korovka” candies (a popular Russian caramel candy)

Combine the flour, baking powder, rolled oats, and cinnamon.

In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar, then add the egg. Beat well with a mixer until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients, mix, then fold in the grated apples (make sure to squeeze out excess juice) and pieces of the candies. Stir to combine.

Using a teaspoon, drop spoonfuls of the dough onto parchment paper, leaving space between each.

Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
