Pan-Fried Chicken Liver with Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 200 g (about 7 oz) chicken liver
  • 60 g (about 2 oz) mushrooms
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 tablespoon chopped herbs
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Slice the onion into half-moons. Clean the mushrooms, removing any dirt, and slice them into thin strips. Rinse the chicken liver and cut it into large pieces.

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the mushrooms and cook over low heat until they turn golden brown.

Add the chicken liver to the skillet with the mushrooms and onions. Cook until the liver is cooked through, stirring occasionally. In the last minute of cooking, add the chopped herbs and season with salt and pepper to taste.
