Quick recipe: kefir pie with onions and eggs.

“Lazy” dishes are a godsend for those who prefer to spend less time in the kitchen. A poured pie is one such recipe. All you need to do is mix the ingredients and grease the baking dish.

Ingredients for the filling: 6 eggs, 2 bunches of green onions, 30 g of butter, black pepper to taste, a pinch of salt.

Ingredients for the dough: 320 g of flour, 400 ml of kefir, 2 eggs, 50 ml of vegetable oil + for greasing the dish, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, sesame seeds for sprinkling, salt to taste (since there will be salt in the filling, don’t overdo it).

Boil the eggs hard (for 10 minutes). Cool, peel, and chop them. Mix with the chopped green onions, adding salt and pepper. Melt the butter and stir it into the filling.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

For the dough, beat the eggs, then add the oil and kefir.

Combine the flour with the baking soda, salt, and sugar, and gradually mix it into the wet ingredients.

Grease the baking dish with oil and pour half of the dough into it. Spread the filling on top, then pour the remaining dough over it.

Sprinkle the future pie with sesame seeds, cover it with foil, and place it in the preheated oven to bake. After 20 minutes, remove the foil, brush the pie with oil or butter, and bake uncovered for another 20 minutes (until golden brown). The dough should be soft, and the filling fragrant.

Tip

Is it necessary to grease the top of the pie with fat to achieve a delicious golden crust, and at what stage should this be done? There’s no specific instruction for that. A tip from experienced cooks: the earlier and more generously you grease the dough, the denser and more golden the crust will turn out.
