We’re spending the weekend in Crimea, which means a lot of moving around. So we need meals that are quick and delicious. Nothing is more satisfying than our favorite dishes.
Our Favorite Summer Soup:
– any meat (optional)
– potatoes
– carrots
– onion, garlic, bay leaf, salt, soup spices
– cauliflower
– colorful bell peppers
– tomatoes
– semolina or “Mivina” noodles
– 1 package of processed cheese
– herbs
Start by boiling the meat with the onion, garlic, bay leaf, and spices. Then toss in all the other ingredients, adding the finely chopped processed cheese at the end. Finally, sprinkle in the herbs. Whether served hot or cold, this soup is simply divine.
‘Mother-in-Law Style’ Cutlets (she’s the one who taught me how to make cutlets this delicious):
– chicken fillet
– garlic
Batter mixture: 3 eggs + 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise, salt, spices.
Slice the fillet thinly. Rub it with salt, spices, and crushed garlic. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the mayonnaise. Or use beer instead of mayonnaise — it works especially well with fish. Prepare some flour with a pinch of salt. Dredge each cutlet in flour, then dip it in the batter and fry it in a generous amount of oil over high heat. Eat them on the go — they’re so delicious!
