This dish won’t take much time or many ingredients, yet the culinary effect will exceed your expectations. Strawberries are beneficial for the nervous system, vision, skin, bones, and digestive tract, as they contain potassium, magnesium, folic acid, and antioxidants.
Ingredients: strawberries – 250–300 g; flour – 300 g (plus a little for dusting); eggs – 2; kefir – 200 ml; sugar – 200 g; baking soda – ½ tsp; vanilla – a pinch; vegetable oil – 2 tbsp.
Beat the eggs with sugar and vanilla. Add the baking soda to the kefir, mix it, then pour it into the egg mixture and stir again. Gradually add the flour to the egg-kefir mixture and knead until you achieve a uniform dough consistency.
Grease a baking dish with oil and dust it with flour. Pour half of the dough into the dish, add the halved strawberries, and then top with the remaining dough.
Place the filled dish in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F). Bake the pie for 50–60 minutes and serve it after it cools.
Life Hack
If the top of the pie browns too quickly, reduce the heat by lowering the baking temperature slightly. You can check for doneness by poking the pie with a toothpick; it should come out dry.
