LG Electronics has introduced the intelligent device LG StanbyME GO for indoor and outdoor use. This television features a 27-inch touchscreen display with a four-channel 20W speaker system and fits into a suitcase. This innovative technology will allow travelers to take a variety of entertainment options with them anywhere. This suitcase television can stream movies, play music like a player, and be used for tabletop and touchscreen games, among many other things.

Since the LG StanbyME GO is packed in a suitcase, it can be easily moved into tight spaces, allowing you to conveniently take this TV anywhere. It is also equipped with a built-in battery that allows for up to three hours of use without being plugged into an external outlet. LG showcased its new gadget at the IFA 2023 exhibition in Berlin, where the new electric BMW Vision Neue Klasse and some of the latest Lifestyle TVs were also presented.
LG has created its StanbyME GO based on the original StanbyME, but has taken it further by placing a touchscreen display in a sturdy case. The case also includes a secure storage space for the remote control and power cable, as well as a cover for impact protection.
The suitcase TV supports a variety of different usage options and personal preferences, as users can tilt the screen depending on their desired viewing angle, rotate it 90 degrees from landscape to portrait orientation and back, adjust its height by up to 18 cm, or place it in table mode.
The LG StanbyME GO screen lies flat at the bottom of the casing when in Table mode, allowing users to play digital board games like chess or activate a virtual player, such as a turntable. If the TV in the suitcase becomes a music player, its built-in speakers automatically optimize audio output at the front of the screen, enhanced by support for advanced video and sound technologies.
The suitcase television has undergone numerous tests.
The suitcase TV also features an automatic on/off function that activates when the case is opened and turns off when it is closed. LG claims that the StanbyME GO is durable, having passed 11 tests according to U.S. military standards. The results show that the StanbyME GO can withstand low and high pressure, low temperatures, dust, and salt spray, as well as providing protection against impacts, vibrations, and accidental drops.
StanbyME GO is equipped with LG’s webOS smart TV platform, which allows users to connect to their OS or Android devices. It also features voice recognition for hands-free app launching, sound control, and content searching. This feature can be useful for people who want to cook, clean, or engage in other activities while watching.
As noted by the publication Designboom LG StanbyME GO was launched in the USA with plans for global rollout in key European markets, including Italy, France, the UK, Spain, and Germany, starting in October 2023.
