Together is More Fun!

The Joy of Working Out with a Partner

There’s something incredibly rewarding about exercising with someone else. I’ve always had my sister by my side—two is definitely a company! My sister tends to be a bit lazier, so from a young age, I took on the role of the coach. I would come up with various workout routines, and while she would groan and huff, she would faithfully follow along.

A year ago, I started working out with a friend who was struggling to lose weight. I created a personalized workout plan for her, tailored the rules to fit her needs, and made it a point to visit her every day after work. We would work out together in the evenings, and in the mornings, she would do part of the exercises on her own.

First and foremost, it was fun. Secondly, we both set goals for ourselves (with a six-month timeline for flexibility), and when someone else knows your goal, there’s almost no turning back.

When, after just two weeks, she lost 4 kilograms (about 8.8 pounds) for the first time in her life and realized that the ice had finally broken, our shared joy was boundless! In the process, I also lost 3 centimeters from my waist. As a reward for her determination and hard work, I gifted her some stretch mark cream. In the end, my friend lost a total of 10 kilograms (about 22 pounds). I gained confidence in my ability to train others and realized that what I had developed over the years truly works!

Next in line were my mother-in-law and my husband’s sister, whom I also taught everything I knew. Meanwhile, my twin sister cheered from the sidelines, knowing that while others were lining up to work with me, she would always be my number one!
