This incredible vessel is truly out of this world, noted followers who keep track of the achievements of the Vietnamese master on social media. Recently, Trang Long Ho delighted them with amazing footage capturing the process of creating a fully functional jet boat in the shape of a flying saucer in his home workshop.
Made of fiberglass and several steel plates, this stunning creation is equipped with automatic doors and light panels. As the inventor assured, there is enough space for a pilot in the cockpit.
Although boat “And it doesn’t glide in the air, it achieves a good speed of up to 50 km/h on water. In a Facebook post dedicated to this amazing invention, master Trang Long Ho wrote: ‘I created what I dreamed of.'”
How did he do it?
Mr. Ho’s creation may seem futuristic, but in reality boat built from the simplest materials.. tells Daily Mail .
The video documenting the process shows that construction began with a sand model forming the base of the upper part of the dish. Trang Long Ho covered this sandy dome with a thin layer of concrete and then attached sheets of fiberglass and epoxy resin to it.
After the fiberglass had set, the team was able to lift the structure and remove the concrete. As a result, a thin and lightweight shell remained. Then, it was reinforced with a grid of fiberglass ribs and hexagons. The process was repeated to create the lower part of the “UFO,” where the engines were installed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ho cut hexagonal windows and installed door panels. By the way, the doors can slide open sideways, just like on a real spaceship.
Next, Trang Long Ho shifted his focus to electronics and controls. Inside the cabin, he installed a steering wheel, pedals, and a dashboard. To create a futuristic glow around the panels, he used LED strips.
The video also shows Mr. Ho connecting dozens of small segments into large solar panels that he installed outside.
And although we did not see Mr. Ho installing the batteries, they are likely there. They are probably used to power the lighting system and electronic doors.
After painting and adding the final decorative elements, the plate boat was ready for testing.
According to observations by the Vietnamese news agency Tuoi Tre News, Mr. Ho has to lean back significantly in his seat to fit into the low cabin.
The bottom part of the vessel has the shape of a typical flat-bottomed boat, which provides the structure with decent maneuverability. However, the ride is still not smooth, as the boat often tilts backward and jumps out of the water, then falls back in again.
The reaction of fans to Mr. Ho’s talent.
Despite this, commentators expressed their excitement on social media regarding this achievement in marine engineering.
One of them noted, “I am a retired old engineer. In my lifetime, I have designed quite a few things, but this is the coolest thing I have ever seen.” The second assured that he “has never seen so much talent in one person” and called the inventor “a gift to all humanity.”
Meanwhile, another enthusiastic commentator wrote: “You are an alien from space. This is how you built a spaceship from scratch! No one could have done what you did!”
To the great disappointment of fans, Master Ho claims that he does not produce products for commercial sale.
Indeed, information has surfaced online about his willingness to sell his previous jet boat for “around 20 million.” Presumably, this refers to 20 million Vietnamese dong, which is about 814 US dollars.
