Why My Son Picked the Police Cap as the Odd One Out

Recently I took my son Alexey to a psychologist. The psychologist put him through a series of tests for about an hour. One of the tests showed him a card with four images, one of which didn’t belong, and he had to identify that item.

The card displayed an ushanka (a traditional Russian fur hat), a baseball cap, a police officer’s cap, and felt boots.

They asked him:

— Alexey, which item is the odd one out?

Alexey pointed to the police officer’s cap. The psychologist was surprised and asked:

— Why?

My son calmly replied:

— Because normal people wear these things, but the cap is worn by traffic cops.
